Year 2 - Yellow Class
Welcome to the Yellow Class page of our school website!
On this page you will be able to find information and pictures about what's going on in year 2, planning and other useful information.
Meet Mrs Finch
Mrs Finch is Yellow Class' teacher. She has been at Ringshall since 2014 and loves working at the school! She is also Maths Lead and SENDCo. She especially enjoys teaching Maths and History and Geography lessons linked to our class topics. Outside school she enjoys crocheting, ballroom dancing and baking. She is also enjoying learning Japanese since she visited Japan last summer!
It has been great to have everyone back in the classroom for the last few weeks of this term! In Yellow Class we have been focusing on connecting with our friends, wellbeing and spending time in nature to finish our topic 'Enchanted Woodland'. The children have really enjoyed spending time in the woodland area and have planted some seeds in the school garden too. We are looking forward to seeing what we can grow!
Autumn Term 2
This half term in Yellow Class we have been learning about how toys have changed and what it would have been like to be a child in the past. Linked to toys, our Power of Reading book has been 'Traction Man'. The children have loved the story, finding out about comics and superheroes.
We had a superhero day where we dressed as our favourite super heroes and made comics on 'Book Creator'. Here are some pictures to show the fun that we had!
Autumn Term 1
We have been working so hard in Yellow Class this half term! We have been enjoying our topic; 'How Life Has Changed' and loved using the book 'If All the World Were...'. Inspired by this beautiful book by Jospeh Coelho, the children created amazing family pictures showing their treasured memories.
Here are the finished pictures!
Welcome back to school!
The children in Yellow Class have amazed Mrs Finch in their first two days back. They have all had big smiles on their faces and been very enthusiastic to work hard! It hasn't been easy because some of our routines have changed but the children have adapted really well. Here are some pictures of us with our mini people for our class display.
