The new eco committee enjoyed gardening this morning. It is wonderful to see some new faces joining us this year as well as a few returning.

Beech Class enjoyed learning about animal parts. In the vet's surgery they identified which part of the animal was injured and how they could make it better!

Willow Class enjoyed their trip to West Stow Anglo- Saxon Village on Monday. They had a wonderful time exploring the buildings and different artefacts

Hazel class has been observing and comparing artists' work in their Art lesson this week. They were using vocabulary like: sculpture, 3-D, smooth, rigid, pattern and exaggerated. Super work, Hazel!

Oak Class -25.09.2026

Oak class has had a wonderful week. As part of their work in PSHE with Mrs Draper, the class began recording in their 'My Happy Mind' journals this week. They have been practising strategies for mindfulness with great success.

Beech class children enjoyed searching for insects in the woods and identifying them too!

Oak Class PGL Trip -17.09.2026

We have had an amazing time at PGL! The children have been incredibly brave, challenging themselves, trying new things and supporting one another every step of the way. So far, we have enjoyed Archery, the Giant swing, Zip wire, Fencing and Aeroball, with Rock climbing still to come today! We are so proud of the children, not only for the fantastic effort they have put into every activity, but also for their brilliant behaviour throughout the trip. They have been an absolute credit to our school!

Thank you to Samantha Oldfield, waste education officer from Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils for  visiting us this week.The children enjoyed learning all about which bin to use to recycle waste at home. Willow class then extended their learning through a waste sorting game.

The children were super scientists exploring the weather. They spotted clouds, tested the wind, and thought about what clothes were needed for different weather types.
