A School’s Biathlon Qualifier was held on the 30th September at Eastbourne College, a 2.45 hour journey at the most fabulous set up.
Tallulah was representing Ringshall Primary, competing as a Year 5 but there were no other Year 5 girls or boys so she had to swim and run against Year 6 boys and girls. The competition was very strong, she really held her own beating two Year 6 boys in the 50m swim and another Year 6 boy in the 800m run. As expected she was the overall Year 5 winner (this is a tough competition for children so young, so few enter).
Points are earned on the time the run and swim were completed in, the children are benchmarked across the country. After analysing last year’s results, from Tallulah’s current results that would leave her high in the top 50, with the possibility of a qualification…We will wait to hear in January if she has qualified for the championship at Bath University next March - Well done Tallulah
